STARS Scholarship provides families with a better future by assisting low-income parents pursuing a college degree. The program is designed for low-income parents residing in Pottawattamie County who are pursuing a certificate, license or degree at a regionally-accredited college or university.
Scholarship funds may be used for books, supplies, equipment, tools, software, uniforms, dues for professional organizations, exam fees, childcare and transportation.
STARS is Accepting Applications!
You may be eligible for a $4,000 scholarship if you can answer yes to the following questions:
Are you a parent?
Are you a U.S. citizen?
Are you a resident of Pottawattamie County?
Are you at least 20 years old?
Are you, or will you be, a full time student?
Are you eligible for a Pell Grant or does your income qualify you for public assistance?
Is your intended career or major likely to increase your family income?
